I got to play an angel in a theater performance! Wow! Who wouldn’t want to play such a role once in their life? It was last weekend, during the performance of the theater group I’m in. I was really looking forward to the performance, except for one tiny little detail… I was told to wear a white dress. A WHITE dress! Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely love white. In fact, I refurbish all my furniture with white paint. But why would a woman of my size possibly have a white dress in her closet? Exactly.
But there it was, the dress code that told me to instantly get 20 pounds fatter. Of course, I didn’t want to be remembered as a chubby rolled roast that evening. So I decided to take on Mission Impossible: The Search For A White Dress That Makes Me Look Like An Angle, Not A White Whale. I walked into a boutique, in a demoralized state already. It’s called Mission Impossible for a reason, right? But suddenly I saw it, totally made for me, casually hanging on a coat hanger. I didn’t dare dreaming of finding this dress, let alone find it so quickly.
The dress behaved just like any good dress should. It emphasized just the right things and covered up the rest. I can honestly say I even felt pretty wearing it. Nothing kept me from playing an angel anymore! Mission Impossible: Accomplished! I believe you can understand why I chose this particular day to shoot my selfie of the month, right? Even four selfies made it to my blog this month! And because it was such a memorable night, I’ll throw in a picture of the performance as well.
So I’m one step further on my 36th goal of my list! I’ll choose one of the four selfies above for the final post about this goal, which I will write in 31 months from now. Which one do you think I should pick?
